What nicer way is there to spend a Sunday morning than taking a brisk walk or a gentle stroll with family, friends or colleagues. The open road, the bridleways and pathways beckon you on with every step you take, fresh air, the amazing connection with nature and time to walk and talk. Add to all that the chance to raise funds for your most favourite worthy cause you have the chance to share in a very special event.
On Sunday 8th May, Shepperton and Sunbury Rotary Club have organised their annual ‘Waterways of Shepperton’ walk. A safely marshalled and supported event, they invite you, your family and friends to get a group together and join in the fun.
On the day of the walk participants should arrive by 9.30am in Manor Car Park, Shepperton ready for a 10.00am departure. The Rotary Club have made arrangements with Spelthorne Council to allow free parking in the car park for participants. Shepperton and Sunbury Rotary will provide Walk Leaders and End Walkers so no-one gets seperated or lost. They will also provide marshalls around the route, to help you cross the roads, and aid people should they have any problems. They will also supply drinking water.
There is a £6 entry fee per person purely to administer the walk, although Shepperton and Sun-bury would like you to confirm how much money you have raised for your charity at the end of the walk.
For more information, email Catherine Black to confirm your interest and she will send you the Sponsorship Forms and joining instructions. You can also choose to raise money directly for your preferred charity online.
