The Robin on the cover is a watercolour painting of a robin that visits our garden frequently.
He has a way of looking at me that says ‘What are YOU doing here?’ : ‘How dare you have coffee out here again’ : ‘Haven’t you got work to do?’ or even ‘I need to keep my eye on you’.
Robins are such cheerful birds and are synonymous with the Christmas season so let’s hope this robin will be the harbinger of a good year in 2021.
If you would like mugs, place-mats or coasters with any of my Sunbury/Thameside images on, my hot pressing workshop (garage) will be open for Sunbury Gifts on Friday 4th, 11th, 18th December from 2-5p.m. at 25 Harfield Road, Sunbury. I also have more copies of my book “Sitting on the Corner, Watching”, which is full of images of Sunbury and the river over 50 years.
