Congratulations to the valiant group of volun-teers of SVCG. They entered the Lord’s Bridge garden and pond into the RHS “It’s your neighbourhood” scheme this year for the first time. A judge visited the site see how the work looks to date as well as to give advice and encouragement. The SVCG committee were thrilled to be judged at level 4, “thriving”. The only higher level is a 5 and the group confidently say they will aim for that next year! Vivienne Leighton, chair of the SVCG said “I am delight-ed for the team that we have achieved level 4 thriving which I think was pret-ty good as a first go”.
We wish the team luck in the Spelthorne in Bloom awards too, the winners of which are to be announced shortly.
