The COVID pandemic meant we had to pause the plans we were making to assist our less able neigh-bours. It also allowed us to review the help we will be offering.
Some GP’s surgeries have reduced the number of face-to-face appointments and other medical needs appear to have reduced, maybe only temporarily.
So now we would love to be able to host a monthly get-together for folks who have spent the last eighteen months in some isolation, as well as the original help with appointments.
We will still need volunteer drivers, people to take phone calls and distribute requests (the scheme already has a phone and you would work from home), plus people to help with social events, making teas or providing cakes.
If you could help with any of this, and would like more information, please join us at one of the Coffee Mornings we are hosting in the Small Hall accessed down the path at the right-hand side of Laleham Village Hall. We will be there on Wednesday 20th October & Wednesday 17th November from 10.30a.m. and would be happy see you.
