Edwin Genet Leaves Life Story for Charity

Many of you will have known Edwin Genet, a big personali-ty in St Mary’s church, Sunbury, and a key figure in Probus and the Freemasons. Edwin was also the oldest delivery ‘boy’ for Sunbury Matters! He spent his lifetime building up a very successful business based in Chertsey and throughout his life he supported nu-merous charities. He had a large family, many friends and he considered himself a very fortunate man.

Edwin passed away a couple of months ago aged 95. As he became more an more frail, his ambition was to finish a book about his life which he intended to raise money for two of his cherished charities; the Princess Alice Hospice and Sam Beare. That book “A Family Affair” is now available to buy. All proceeds will go directly to the two charities.

If you would like to support the charities and read about dear Edwin’s incredible life, do get hold of a copy. You can call his son Andrew Genet on 07775 870109 who will be happy to arrange a copy for you.
