In this months issue we wish the Greeno Centre in Shepperton happy birthday. With depression in the elderly becoming such a problem, this is the total antithesis. 30 years since construction started, the centre is the lifeline to so many in the community. We also hear about shopping in Staines, Shepperton Village Fair and the Travel Clinic on the high street.

Happy birthday Greeno Centre!

Wow! 30 years since the Greeno Centre in Shepperton was built. How many people must have been through the doors enjoying the care, fun and support offered by this amazing facility.
When we went along to have a chat in the run up to the birthday, they had just finished a Royal Wedding celebration, with flags, a cut out Queen, cakes and even a souvenir mug for everyone who came. There is always such a feeling of joy when I visit.

Issue 79

This month we take a look back to Upper Halliford before it was split by the creation of the dual carriageway. How peaceful it looked in the 1920s! We look at sailing at Littleton Sailing Club, celebrate a special night with Dramatize students and hear from a young lady passionate about upcycling fashion using garments she gets from the local charity shops. We also celebrate he 20th anniversary of the Sunbury & Shepperton Rotary Aurora.

Are You Fair Game? The Shepperton Fair Committee Needs You!

Later this year, on Saturday 9 June 2018, Shepperton folk will again enjoy what they have done for no less than the last 45 years – Shepperton Village Fair! Each year, thousands of people descend on Manor Park at the bottom of the High Street from all over the local area. Some come from quite far afield, too.
