Well the sun did come out for Carnival Day! Congratulations to all involved, in both the set up and of course to the community as a whole for joining in. I mentioned in last month’s issue that I might try the Zorb racing! I have to admit that as a man prone to injury I decided to watch instead. Looked great fun though. The Molesey Carnival is upon us again on Saturday June 10th! Best wishes from Molesey Matters to all involved. Personally I am really looking forward to having a go at the Zorb racing – just what I need for my bad back! The front cover is obviously Mr Mole, taken last year by Ted Palmer.

Welcome to the May issue! We are now firmly into Spring. I am particularly enjoying this year the blossom appearing in our garden. Pinks, yellows, whites, purples – It really does make you feel like good things are on the way.

Just before Christmas, Molesey Matters reader, Jacqueline Martin, contacted me regarding the artist Alfred Sisley. A few years ago, Jacqueline conducted some research for the Alfred Sisley Museum in Moret-sur-Loing outside Paris where the artist spent most of his life.
