Once again Shepperton Matters is supporting the photo competition at the Shepperton Village Fair. This year we are a gold sponsor.
During the year we receive so many great photos from readers. We hope you have joined in the fun of the fair and entered the competi-tion too. There are some great photographers out there!
When we first started our sponsorship of the fair, it was our involve-ment in the photo competition which inspired me to pick up my cam-era again. There was a certain young lady, Amy Hannaford Cooper, who aged only 9 swept the board. She continued to do so over several years and the last time I saw her exhibiting it was a the Landmark Arts Cen-tre in Teddington with the Richmond Photographic Society. Well, she has left me standing, but she showed me the joy of photography all over again. So you never know what you might get out of taking part! Below are a few of her winning photos which we have run in Shepperton Matters previously. These were taken when she was 13. Sadly for us, (but maybe good for other entrants), she has now moved away from Shepperton
We will be attending the judging this year again, and look forward to seeing your entries. All entries will be displayed in the marquee on June 11th, with winners of each categories announced.
