The long lockdown and frustrating pause in activity within the hospitality industry, has been time put to good use at the Holiday Inn, Shepperton. The venue has undergone an ex-tensive refurbishment. Alongside it sits now Storyboard at Shepperton, a new aspirational and contemporary events destination, setting the scene for weddings, celebrations and meetings up to 250 guests.
The hotel itself boasts a new restaurant, bar and terrace as well as re-designed welcome areas. In addition to that, the hotel’s 184 bed-rooms have been entirely made over and the whole place feels fresh and classy. Storyboard at Shepperton, a nod to the local film studios and history, offers a huge but flexible event space which is designed for grand or intimate occasions. The Set offers space for 250 which is perfect for weddings or large catered dinners. It also offers access on to the newly created terrace overlooking the lake, and had a private bar.
The Green Room and The Fourth Wall are smaller spaces overlooking the tranquil grounds, perfect for board meetings and pri-vate dining for up to 16 guests.
Not only is the space flexible to suit your needs, but there is also the option of self ca-tering, offering fully equipped events kitchens for external caterers. That will change the approach of many to creating the perfect wed-ding, offering the chance to have exactly the sort of cuisine you want, but in a venue and environment that is hard to beat.
The bar area is known as In The Wings where you can enjoy views across the terrace to the lake. The approach is to work with lo-cal suppliers to reflect in season produce wherever possible.
In the leisure facility, You Fit, you will find 4 new treatment rooms and a relaxation suite where you can de stress, as well as an updated gym.
