With the government roadmap helping us to come safely out of lockdown, we still request you contact us from home instead of attending the practice in order to keep you and our staff safe from coronavirus.
We have kept the practice as open as possible despite the Covid restrictions – since the pandemic started last year we have been able to deliver 33,000 telephone or video consultations, 9,500 face to face appointments, 5,500 blood tests, 8,800 nurse appointments, 4,500 flu vaccines and to date 6,500 patients have had their 1st covid vaccine and 2,000 their 2nd vaccine.
We have adapted our ways of working to ensure you get the best possible care, safely and quickly. If you need to contact us, and have access to the internet, please use the practice website www.sunburyhealthcentre.nhs.uk and complete a confidential online form. If those patients with internet access make use of this service, it will help those who do not have access to the internet to get in contact with us over the phone.
All appointment requests are triaged into the most appropriate clinician for your need – this could be a GP, but you might be booked in with a Nurse Practitioner, a Paramedic Practitioner, a Clinical Pharmacist or a member of our nursing staff – all members of the same team, helping to deliver the right care at the right time for you.
Appointments are currently conducted over the telephone or video. The clinician you speak with may arrange a face to face appointment with you, if there is clinical need to do so.
At times when we have reached our safe prac-tice capacity (meaning we have no appoint-ments available that would ensure we can help our patients in a clinically safe way), you may be directed to seek help from other NHS services, such as your local pharmacy for mi-nor ailments, LIVI (online GP’s who conduct video consultations) or NHS111.
We strongly urge our patients to continue with their routine and screening appoint-ments, and not to delay if you have any healthcare concerns.
Did you know you can use the NHS App, our Website, or Patient Access to order repeat prescriptions? – which not only helps to save paper, this will reduce the need for you to visit the practice – your prescription can then be sent electronically to your local pharmacy.
We are maintaining our Covid-secure measures within the practice with a one-way system and separate entrances and exits – our team will direct you to the right place if you are asked to visit the practice.
