It is great to see another new business setting up and getting ready for life after lockdown. This time it is Palmer’s Dog Grooming Salon, next to Sisu and Glow in the new parade of shops at the end of Green Lane. You can drop your dog off at Palmers and spend some pampering time next door. Or drop in for a close shave on the other side. Pampering for the whole family!
At the same time we have some great pet talent in the village. As well as being known for painting local scenes (cards available at Felicitations) Peggy Pickering has been paint-ing cats and dogs for many years. Her por-traits come framed and a generous 25% of the proceeds are being donated to Purple Angels Dementia Support. You can see more details below.
She has also started producing bags for all your pooch necessities. So if you have had a portrait done already, you can have the image on the bag (it measures 8“ x 10”). If you don’t have a portrait, she is able to put a photo on a bag. These are only priced at £3.50.
New to the pet art scene is local mum Kaya Curtis. Painting pets has been a hobby, making gifts for friends and family. But when someone suggested she should try and sell them, she thought “why not?”. Her talent is very clear. See below, both photo and paint-ing of it. Contact Kaya at PawPrints for more information. Details below.
So you have a range of possibilities to cele-brate your furry friends.
