We just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone in Sunbury who supported our #ITSINTHEBAG Christmas appeal to provide hygiene and personal care items to those who might otherwise go without. Your generosity meant that we were able to supply over 120 bags to foodbanks, refuges and schools in the local area – making a real difference to their recipients.
Special thanks go to Jo and her community at The Space Boutique Fitness for all their donations, Surplus to Supper and Boots for their continued help, Kingston Grammar School for their incredible contributions, as well as many Sunbury residents like Jean, Lucy and Nila who have been exceptionally generous.
Although the Christmas campaign is over, donations are needed more than ever and our work to supply hygiene products to those in need continues. The consequences of the pandemic are only starting to be felt – with the year ahead certain to be challenging for those who have been pushed into poverty.
To help us with these challenges you can continue to donate through our collection points in Boots stores in Hanworth, Staines and Ash-ford. We also have an Easho wishlist (www.easho.org.uk/apps/giftregistry/registry/84390), which you can use to donate products directly to us online. Alternatively, for direct donations, please contact the Sun-bury team at thbsunbury@gmail.com, and they can give out further details.
Thank again for your continued support, you have made a huge difference to the lives of those within the local community. Please follow us on Instagram to keep up with our latest news, campaigns and to help spread the word in ending Hygiene Poverty in our local area, @thbsunbury.
