When Going to the Supermarket, Dress for the Crisis…

My brother lives in New Zealand and during this time we have kept in touch and compared notes regarding life under lockdown. New Zealand has managed the crisis well. They clamped down early, closing borders, stopping movement, restricting shopping trips to one person only and policing it well. At the last count they had only recorded 21 deaths!

They also have quite a sense of humour, or maybe paranoia in the country. Who knows?!

Shoppers have taken to dressing up, possibly to take away the focus on the face protection that many are using. The resulting outfits have given supermarket staff a giggle and have injected a bit of fun into what might to many be a stressful situation. Shopping is no longer the relaxed and fun thing it was before.

So here we have my dear brother who at the age of 60 is dressed in a giraffe onesie and breathing apparatus..

But what do you make of the person in full diving gear? Maybe that is a bit over the top!

We do love a sense of humour! Is anyone else taking such precautions when visiting the supermarket?
